History of the creation of the Natus Vincere organization

The Natus Vincere team was founded on December 18, 2009. After the collapse of the Ukrainian team KerchNET, the players of the formative team acquired the support of the well-known philanthropist Murat "Arbalet" Tulemangabetov. The new name of the team became "Arbalet UA". It consisted of the following five: Daniil "Zeus" Teslenko - Kharkov, Ioann "Edward" Sukharev - Kharkov, Sergey "Starix" Ishchuk - Kyiv, Arseniy "ceh9" Trinozhenko - Lvov, Egor "markeloff" Markelov - Dnepropetrovsk.

On August 15, 2010, Na"Vi won the regional qualifications for the WCG (World Cyber Games) and received a paid trip to the world finals in Los Angeles, where they later won the championship title, defeating the mTw team in the finals and received prestigious, at that time , $25,000 prize money.

At that time, the Ukrainian five performed under the clan tags "Na"Vi" and "Arbalet UA" In February 2010, a vote was held for the best team name. It took place on the website hltv.org, where more than 2000 comments were left. The winner was hArt1k, who proposed the name Natus Vincere (which is translated from Latin as “Born to Win”). This allowed the clan tag to remain unchanged. A photo of Navi’s champion lineup from the WCG is shown below:

Natus Vincere team players

John "Edward" Sukharev

One of the most experienced Counter-Strike players. The Kharkov duo, together with "Zeus", joined the Natus Vincere team at the time of its formation. Since the distant days of the game, Counter-Strike 1.6 has been recognized by many in the community as the “Pistol King”, thanks to its excellent gameplay with this type of weapon. In his game he often plays the role of an “open fragger”, which makes him one of the most effective players on the team.

Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovacs

One of the most striking examples of a universal player in CS:GO. In Na"Vi, he has been playing the role of the team's sniper since joining. He joined the team after Egor "markeloff" Markelov left the team. He has been playing Counter-Strike for more than 10 years. During his time, he managed to play for a sufficient number of CS 1.6 and CS squads: Source came to CS:GO in mid-2012, where success awaited him almost immediately.

Denis "seized" Kostin

As a versatile player, he can take an AWP at any second and play the role of a second sniper, which he often does. In all the teams where he previously played, he always played a commanding role, and therefore he has more than enough experience in this. That is why for a certain period of time he served as captain of the team, replacing Daniil "Zeus" Teslenok in this position.

Egor "flamie" Vasiliev

Egor is the youngest representative of the Natus Vincere team. It was he who came to replace Sergei "starix" Ishchuk, who is currently the coach and manager of the team. Immediately after arriving for the test period, the team began to show good results, as a result of which it was decided to immediately make Yegor a full member of the team. Strengthens the team's combat power thanks to his individual skill, shooting in particular, which he was able to fully realize.

Alexander "s1mple" Kostylev

s1mple's strengths are his incredible shooting and game aggression, which allows him to easily and very quickly deal with his opponents. Alexander is focused only on victory and does not pay attention to the names, status or past achievements of his opponents. It is noteworthy that in the community s1mple is known not only as a very strong and competent player, but also as a popular streamer, watched daily by thousands of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive fans.

And the first heroes of our new column are the most legendary team of the CIS - “Natus Vincere”. Throughout its existence, this lineup dominated the world stage, constantly fighting for the championship title or prizes.

It all started with the collapse of another legendary team at that time in Ukrainian CS:1.6 - “KerchNET”. On December 18, 2009, a roster was formed under the tag “Arbalet UA”, which included the following players: Daniil “Zeus” Teslenko, Arseniy “ceh9” Trinozhenko, Ioann “Edward” Sukharev, Egor “markeloff” Markelov and Sergey “starix” Ishchuk .

After six months of adapting to the joint performance, “Arbalet UA” finally began to demonstrate the now familiar results: in mid-May 2010, “Na’VI” took 2nd place in the prestigious European competition “Arbalet Cup 2010” in Stockholm, losing in the final to “fnatic” ” and became the champions of “ESWC Ukraine”. They later took another World Cyber Games title that same year and became the most titled team of 2010. The result of 2010 was the title the strongest team world and changing the tag from “Arbalet Ua” to the now world-famous “Na’Vi”.

The total dominance of this roster continued until the end of 2012, when the team was one of the first to switch to a new discipline - “Counter Strike: Global Offensive”. Unfortunately for all the team's fans, the results in the new discipline were completely dismal. As a result, the team was in a fever for almost a year and a half. The result of all this was the departure of Egor “markeloff” Markelov from the team to another team, Arseniy “ceh9” Trinozhenko also left the team as a player, but remained in the organization as a commentator.

All these problems ended only at the beginning of 2015, when Sergey “starix” Ishchuk moved to the position of player-coach and Egor “flamie” Vasiliev took his position. The results were not long in coming - after a month of joint performance, NaVi csgo were finally able to take their first global championship title, becoming the champions of the first season of the ESL Pro League.

This tournament was a resounding announcement of Natus Vincere's return to the fight for championship titles in global events as favorites. It was the second half of 2015 - the first half of 2016 that brought back all the excitement around this legendary team. Numerous victories in all tournaments where we took part, a huge number of well-played maps and tactics for them, coupled with excellent individual play - all this allows us to take prizes everywhere.

And now, as for the NaVi csgo players themselves:

1 and the most important part of the team is awp - Ladislav “Guardian” Kovacs. Throughout his entire time playing for “Born to Win”, it was this Slovakian player who turned games in favor of his team, making the most important “minuses” in key rounds. Thanks to his consistently phenomenal performance with this “capricious” weapon, “Guardian” is among the Top 3 awp-ers in the world.

The second most important link, of course, is the team captain - Daniil “Zeus” Teslenko. An excellent strategist with the most unpleasant type of game for any opponent: slow and unpredictable play. Vast experience and excellent control of movements on the map - all this makes the team capable of winning numerous victories.

The third player in the “NaVi” roster is Denis “seized” Kostin: the only player who captained Daniil for a short period of time. Excellent control of the automatic burst, a fairly good game with SSG 08 and consistently excellent play allow Denis to occupy high places in the ratings of players.

The fourth member of the team since its formation has been Ioann “Edward” Sukharev. The oldest and most experienced player of the team, who shone back in the days of CS: 1.6, continues his triumphant march in CS: GO. Key points His game is based on the ability to take clutch rounds and enormous experience, thanks to which “Edward” can find a way out of any situation and will never get lost on the map.

Well, the last, but by no means the least important part is the youngest player of the team - Egor “flamie” Vasiliev. Despite his youth, Egor is already known as a great aim-er. Moreover, his aim is at such a level that during the first games for CSGO “Na’Vi”, many of the team’s “haters” considered him a cheater. However, the first Lan proved all these prejudices wrong.

Now the team has decided to take a break from participating in tournaments in order to rest and restore its former form. Thus, we will not be able to see the team for another month, and therefore all that remains is to once again review the highlights from the csgo players of Natus Vincere.

Throughout their time in Counter Strike: Global Offensive, the team has won a huge number of championship titles in the following tournaments.

Natus Vincere (from Latin - Born to Win) is a Ukrainian multi-gaming e-sports organization founded in 2009. They made a name for themselves in 2010, when the Counter-Strike 1.6 squad triumphantly won three major tournaments in one year - Intel Extreme Masters, Electronic Sports World Cup and World Cyber Games 2010. In the summer of 2011, the Dota squad “born to win” became the best at The International tournament, winning $1,000,000 for first place. In addition to CS and Dota2 rosters, Na`Vi performs in many other disciplines (FIFA, SC2, LoL, WoT), where they regularly take prizes, confirming their status as one of the most successful e-sports organizations in the world.

Natus Vincere begins its esports path in the Counter-Strike 1.6 discipline. In 2009, Vlad "MAVR" Khavrak created the Arbalet.UA team, consisting of Ukrainian players who previously played for the KerchNET and Pro100 teams. The team included Kharkov residents Daniil Teslenko (“Zeus”) and Ioann Sukharev (“Edward”), Kiev resident Sergei Ishchuk (“starix”), Arseniy Trinozhenko (“ceh9”) from Lvov and Egor Markelov (“markeloff”) from Dnepropetrovsk. The team was supported by a famous philanthropist and organizer eSports tournaments Murat "Arbalet" Zhumashevich. Alexander “ZeroGravity” Kokhanovsky became the team manager. After winning the Arbalet Cup Asia 2010 tournament, where the Arbalet team performed under the name “Na`Vi”, a competition was held for the best team name, as a result of which the team was renamed to the final name “Natus Vincere”, which is translated from Latin as “born to win” .

2010 is becoming a triumphant year for Natus Vincere. The team first defeats the Swedish team fnatic in the grand final of the fourth season of Intel Extreme Masters, then becomes the first CIS team to become the ESWC world champion, and then adds victory at the World Cyber Games world championship to the list of achievements, becoming the first team in the world to win three the most prestigious championship titles(IEM, ESWC, WCG) for one year. At the end of the year, Natus Vincere won the DreamHack Winter 2010 LAN tournament and set another record, earning more than $215 thousand in a year, beating fnatic's previous achievement ($189 thousand in 2009).

At the end of 2012, the full complement of players switched to a new discipline - Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Unlike Counter-Strike 1.6, where the team achieved maximum achievements without changing the composition from 2009 to 2012, in CS:GO it is not possible to achieve success on highest level, in connection with which in 2013 the composition of the team changed several times. Starting in December 2013, the team remained unchanged for almost a year and a half, until in March 2015 it was announced that Sergei Ishchuk would move to the position of manager and coach of the team. In April 2015, Natus Vincere finally achieved its first serious victory in international tournament in CS:GO, becoming the winner of the premiere season of the ESL Pro League. In 2015-2016, the team managed to take winning places in major competitions, but so far it has not been possible to take a single Major. At the beginning of August 2016, the team again undergoes changes - the legendary Na`Vi captain Daniil "Zeus" Teslenko leaves the active roster, and he is replaced by the young Ukrainian talent Alexander "s1mple" Kostylev.

2. History of the name.

Why is the team called exactly? Na"Vi? The idea came spontaneously: the team players, having never come up with a name, decided to relax and visit the cinema, where they watched the film "Avatar". According to the plot of the film, Navi is a language on the planet Pandora. The kids liked this name, so they deciphered it and it turned out Natus Vincere(from lat. " Born to win" ).
